Brrrrr.....yes it is dang cold around here. I even wore gloves this morning. Cold.

Just in time for mom and dad to arrive. For some reason, when they are here it is NEVER nice warm gorgeous winter weather. Maybe it will be nice warm gorgeous weather in Orlando......

Progress

Yes, this is progress. Almost a mantle. Just needs a few more pieces, flush mounted receptacle (for an electrical outlet), wood conditioning, staining, sealing and da-ta. Progress.

that is one fat cat....

Tiger is officially fat. Now, every winter he bulks up and when summer comes he slims down. But this winter - he is fat. Waddling down the hall fat.
He is on limited food - 1/2 scoop in the morning and 1/2 in the afternoon. And only a few treats a day. But those nights spent lanquishing in the garage instead of stalking all the baby bunnies in the yard, those nights are making him fat.

Yep, Tiger is a fat cat.

School is out today and yesterday. Hannah spent yesterday with her dad. He made her work on her book report, eat fruit for lunch, and go to some job sites. While on the job, her Ninteno DS died and she starteed whining. Then she was cold. Then hungry. He gave her an apple. At this point, she informed him that it was much more fun to spend a day off with mommy than daddy. (har, har)

Today, she is home with me. We are going to the movies. Much more fun. And I did not make her eat fruit. And we will have lunch at Micky D's. For once I get to be the fun one!

Tonight is basketball at 8pm. Hope we can stay awake that late! Happy Weekend!

CD's loaded onto my ipod. At least that is what Itunes is telling me. I finally finished loading our entire music collection (from CD - those albums are not going anywhere) onto the ipod. So I now have a compact traveling music collection! Cool.

Okay, so finally a shot. Not too good but still. I will wait till Dad comes with his fancy smancy D200 and he can take some good shots.
Basketball game #2 friday night. The Lady Wolfpack WON their game 30-8!!! Whoo Hoo!!

When trying to shoot girls playing basketball in a poorly lit gym, you cannot shoot across the court and expect the shots to turn out.
Maybe some pictures next week.

But Hannah played her first basketball game Friday night. She did pretty good. Tried a shot. Dribbled in and tried to dribble thru a group of girls. Guarded her girl.
She could use some work on getting in there and being aggressive on the rebounds. But that will come.

All in all, she did great and it was nice to see her participating on the court instead of on the sidelines.

she needed this purse....

Ah, the purse. A Vera Bradley purse. Friday morning, hannah asks - how much is a vera bradley purse? Well, I say, they are pretty pricey so anywhere from $30 to $200. The smaller ones may be $30. Why??
Well momma, there are some girls at school that have some so I'd like to get one.
Okay, if you want to spend your allowance money....

Fast forward to Saturday. We go to the mall. HAVE to look at some purses. Find a pink one for 30% off - only $20 but it is kinda small. I like the one for $38 but it is only available in ucky colors. So... I tell hannah that if she is going to spend a bit on a purse, she should get the color and style she likes even if it means spending more or having to wait.
Later in the mall, Hannah spots another VB store. Here they have the pattern she wants - blue. Well, the turquoise and navy is what she REALLY wants but it was sold out 2 months before Christmas. So big decision. Pink for $20 or blue for $29???
Obviously, it was blue.

So. One of my news years resolutions was to be a better blogger. Now, I know there are only about 4-5 people that read this blog, but I do get complaints when I haven't posted for a while.
So I will try to be better. More pictures. Ok?

Another resolution - be a better exerciser. I have not exercised much for the past few weeks and miss it. When the sun is shining, I want to get out and walk and run. So...another goal.

And my third resolution - use the nifty new 30G ipod that I got for Christmas. Now, downloading and configuring songs is fun but I do have to use it. Number 3.

And four. Well, there is not four. It should be to be more paitient with hannah, or be more organized or lose weight or whatever. But I think I will stick with 3 this year. 3 is doable and they are not that tough.
